	You recently requested a quotation on our model Stanford Arm.
Vicarm  proposes to  deliver two model  Stanford Arms,  complete with
hand and optical encoders for the first three joints (similar to  the
arm kit  you have recently completed).   These arms will  be supplied
with  our standard power  supply which includes  power amplifiers for
all seven joints, plus all the logic for operating  the arm in manual
control mode and switching to computer control mode.  Hardware servos
are not included in this package.

	The price for two arms, delivered with the above equipment, is
$35,000.

	The  price  for  an individual  arm  delivered  as  above, is
$21,000.

	Should you  desire the hardware servo package, the additional
cost is $5,000 for one arm and $8,000 for two arms.

	You have also requested an opinion regarding exchanging your,
as yet undelivered,  model M.I.T. arm for a Stanford Arm Kit (encoder
version).   We  will  be  willing  to  do  this  with  the  following
understanding.  The  purchase price for the kit will  be $9,000 if no
completed  arms are ordered, and $8,000 if  one or more complete arms
are ordered by CSL within 90 days of kit  order. These prices require
that the kit be manufactured  at CSL and partial payment of $5,000 is
made immediately after  delivery of all  bearings and joint  1 and  2
motor assemblies. The contents of the kit will be  the same as in the
kit  you ordered last year,  execpt that an updated  set of drawings,
reflecting recent improvements, will be provided.
